Serco specifies Radar-Stop for new fleet of RCV's

Radar-Stop has completed over a year of trials and has now been specified as original equipment for Serco refuse collection vehicles. This follows rigorous testing in all conditions and the system has been tailored to exactly match Serco's high standards in safety for its workforce. One of Radar-Stops key features was that it alerted the driver when a person or object was detected within its 3M range and then went on to make a controlled brake application relative to vehicle speed. This prevents aggressive braking when only moving at low speeds but still arrests the vehicle within 0.4 of a second.
MP Lefroy visits Dr Air Brake

The MP for Stafford , Mr. Jeremy Lefroy, visited Dr Air Brake after it won the Wabco Service Partner 2012 Award for the Uk . He was given a guided tour of the workshop and new Electronics build facility at the Penkridge site. Mr. Lefroy praised Dr Air Brake for its success and was eager to compliment the Staffordshire Company on its reputation for providing excellent service and products. He also took a great interest in the new safety reversing system "Back-Stop" fitted to a UK Mail trailer in the yard and Jeff explained how the system improves safety & saves operators money at a modest cost.

WABCO National Service Partner Award

A buffet was jointly held by Dr Air Brake and WABCO to celebrate winning the WABCO National Service Partner award 2012 and 2011. The Dr Air Brake team began the day by participating in the Wabco Service Partner Challenge, testing their competence at identifying and repairing commercial vehicle braking faults on the latest Mercedes Actros Intelligent Trailer. Preliminary results show a near top score on the Challenge, taking Doctor Air Brake to 4th position out of over 700 European participants.

This year's show pulled in crowds of 37,133 to see over 400 exhibitors. Doctor Air Brake had a successful first time out at the Melbourne Showgrounds, with a high number of stand enquiries for products across the range. Assisted by Alex Delf on sales Jeff Lowe secured over $6000 worth of confirmed orders and hopefully more to follow. The latest Air Brake Timer created most interest along with the VTC complete Trailer Test Unit.

We can now offer Knorr-Bremse trailer EBS diagnostics as standard on the Code-Talks platform. There is an additional Dongle which taps into the trailer CAN lines and reads faults out of G1 KB ECU's. This latest hardware now completes everything required for all the makes and we will continue to work on various software, to ensure Code-Talk is the most comprehensive trailer diagnostic tool available in the world.
