How It Works
Reverse Smart works as a safeguard in situations where a driver is distracted, their focus is divided, or they can’t see behind them clearly. This is an indispensable safety solution, especially for HGV vehicles operating within the public sector (Tar Sprayers, Road Sweepers, Bin Lorries and more).
- If the system detects an object or individual within the pre-set danger zone, it triggers an audible warning inside the cab.
- If the driver fails to respond, the system will automatically brake for them.
- The vehicle then halts for a total of three seconds, giving pedestrians behind the vehicle the chance to get clear of any danger.
