Penkridge & District Round Table (Registered charity: 1188142) are raising £5,000 for the manufacture of vital PPE face shields for those most at risk.
Due to the unprecedented worldwide crisis, front line key workers are working without the proper protective equipment. Our NHS nurses, doctors, paramedics, care and community workers all remain working, and are having to put their health and welfare at risk. It is unknown how long this will continue to be a problem.
With the help of members of our local community, we are in a position to manufacture and supply a limited number of PPE Face Shields.
Using donations already received we have been able to provide more than 500 masks. However, like most of the country we are all stuck at home, and are unable to run the fundraising events we normally do. We are asking you, members of our community to help us raise additional funding to enable us to protect our dedicated key workers.
We have a target set; however, if we exceed this amount we will continue to produce face masks for as long as they are required.
